Ninon Lizé Masclef is a hybrid artist and scientist working in Paris, France. She develops an aesthetic of information flows : a click, a gaze, a body offered to the sensors. She retemporizes the traces captured by technological devices to give a mean of access to its real referent : the self and the Other. Her art practice unites various media like music performance, wearable biosensors, 3D graphics, creative AI, and interactive costume design. She is a singer and multi-instrumentalist attaching great importance in multimedia and noise experimentation. Her work has been exhibited in various group shows and seminaries (Deutsches Museum, Internet Archive, Stephen Lawrence Gallery, Galerie Joseph, Espace Niemeyer, Maker Faire) and research presented in top-tier venue (NeurIPS, ICML, CHI). As a Research Affiliate at MIT Media Lab (Fluid Interfaces), she is currently working on visual imagery reconstruction in 3D from brainwave activity, under the guidance of Prof. Pattie Maes. She was recently awarded the Top 100 French Inventors 2024 prize for her work on brain-computer interfaces, as featured in Le Point magazine.
